Join us for a heartfelt farewell evening honoring Dr. Anastasia Christophilopoulou as she embarks on a new chapter as the George D. and Margo Behrakis Chair of Art of Ancient Greece and Rome at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
On Monday, November 4th, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., we invite you to Cyprus House for an evening that includes a screening of the powerful film ΕΠΙΧΕΙΡΗΣΗ ΜΟΥΣΕΙΟ (Operation Museum) directed by Petros Charalampous. This documentary highlights the heroic efforts of Dr. Vassos Karageorghis and his team to protect the priceless artifacts of the Cyprus Museum during the turmoil of the Turkish invasion in 1974.
After the screening, Dr. Christophilopoulou will reflect on Dr. Karageorghis’ invaluable contributions to the Islanders Project and share her farewells with colleagues and friends.
