There is an Island II: Expressions of Cyprus by Young Artists

Opening Night Recap and Photo Album

On September 18th, 2024, the Cyprus House in London hosted the vibrant opening of "There is an Island II: Expressions of Cyprus by Young Artists". The exhibition features extraordinary artwork from young Cypriot artists and students from various schools in the UK and Cyprus, inspired by themes of memory, land, and the future.

The opening night began with a welcome speech by the Cultural Counsellor, Marios Theocharous, followed by the official opening by the Cypriot High Commissioner. Guests had the opportunity to explore sections of the exhibition, including Reflections of Resilience, Hourglass, and Postcards from Cyprus.

The exhibition will remain open until October 31st, 2024, with curated tours available during lunch breaks and special events scheduled during the Frieze Festival on Saturday, October 12th.
